The Mammoth Mtn injury curse continues with sad news in that 17 year old wonder girl Michaela Davis Meehan broke her back over the weekend while practicing for the Roxy Chicken Jam in Mammoth's park. Michaela had only just fully recovered from a nasty concussion suffered at the Billabong Flaunt It event a few weeks previous.
While we are not sure exactly how it happened we do know that she underwent emergency surgery and is recovering well. Michaela will be in a brace for the next 6 weeks and once able she will be returning to her native Newcastle to recover.
