Three years ago, while living in Utah, I had the chance to meet Krista Moroge. As the owner of a very successful sales rep agency and a true ripper, she was someone many women in snowboarding could look up to. So I asked Krista if I could interview her for our Jobs for the Girls series. Krista's interview was smart and funny and I know many people enjoyed it.
Just before I published the story in December 2007, I dropped Krista an email to let her know it was going up. She gave me the sad news that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. As Krista fought her personal battle breast cancer, she also turned her efforts towards raising breast cancer awareness and research money.
I had recently heard that Krista's cancer had returned but I was hopeful she would beat it again. Sadly, Krista passed away on Sunday.
Our thoughts are with her family and friends on their loss of this amazing woman.
