Jye Kearney took out the final event of STYLEWARS with a win in the 28 STAIRS rail jam last night, pocketing $5K in the process. Best trick went to Cees Willie. You can check out all the action from the event in the highlight video.
Day two of STYLEWARS has wrapped up by producing a STYLEWARS GRAND MASTER in that of Tor Lundstrom from Sweden with Clint Allan in second place and Scotty James in third. Gjermund Bratten claimed best trick for his double cork back 10. Click thru for all the pics and video.
Day one of STYLEWARS has already produced double corks as well as double broken collarbones with injuries to Gjermund Bratten and Biba Turnbull. Braaten set the standard high stomping a double cork back 10 in his first judged run of competition. But unfortunately, Braaten fell awkwardly on the last feature ending his chances of winning the money
The second round of the Perisher Night Slopestyle Series was run on Saturday with a four-jump line, course set up. Cohen Davies took the win from Jye Kearney & Pete Long, while in the womens Wiki Jones took out her second event from Jess Rich and Aubriana Dunn.

With some horrible weather making a beeline for the mountains, Rip Curl decided to run both the Freeride Pro and Throwdown event yesterday at Thredbo. In a strange twist of results, renowned jibber, Pete Long won the Freeride Pro, whilst backcountry ripper Ryan Tiene won the Throwdown event. Check the amazing pics and press release.
The Burton NZ Open was completed over the weekend at Cardrona. Mark McMorris and Jamie Anderson took out the slopestyle, while Ryo Ahno & Kelly Clark took out the halfpipe. Click thru for a full wrap up and video highlights.
The annual Frying Pan Inn / Coca Cola Big Air took place last yesterday at Falls Creek in a mixed bag of conditions. Local park crew manager, Mat Galina took the win from Kieran McLaughlin with Matto Smith in 3rd place. Jade McJannett was throwing down for the ladies, taking out the win with some impressive frontside 540s.
